Artist Opportunities

Fabrica began in 1996 as an artist-led space and working with artists to create new work continues to be central to Fabrica’s ethos.

This ranges from commissioning artists to create major works for exhibition, supporting artists throughout their paid residencies with us, providing professional development activities for artists. The In Between Gallery is a regular, free submission opportunity for photographers to exhibit in our large window gallery, while Making Space offers artists our large space at Fabrica to test a works-in-progress piece (by application only).

When available, we are also happy to explore the hire of our main space for reduced artist rates. We are most able to accommodate use of the space which is closed to the public, ie for developing or testing artworks at larger scale. We are also open to partnership working if you are interested in working with us to deliver opportunities for the public, such as events or workshops. To help us best respond to your enquiry, please complete the following enquiry form.

“Quite simply, working with Fabrica was a catalyst for growth in my practice. It enabled me to bring to fruition an idea that had been gestating for over a year. I’ve been given the confidence to vastly expand the scale on which I work, to give my practice a twist of performance art, and to engage directly with the public.”
