Film at Fabrica

Film at Fabrica brings bold, thought-provoking stories to the big screen. From contemporary cinema to hidden gems, family-friendly screenings to community collaborations, our programme celebrates diverse voices and offers something for everyone all year round.

Since 2014, Fabrica has been a hub for cinema, offering a year-round film programme that brings bold, thought-provoking stories to the big screen. Our own monthly screenings showcase a diverse range of films - from contemporary international releases to hidden gems - sparking conversation, reflection, and connection among audiences.

Fabrica’s film programme is also collaborative by design. We regularly co-present with local programmers, filmmakers, and community organisations, ensuring a rich mix of voices and perspectives. During school holidays, we host special screenings that offer something different for the whole family, making cinema accessible and enjoyable for all ages.

Our commitment to nurturing the next generation of film lovers is embodied in Fresh Perspectives, our young film programmers’ initiative. These young curators meet regularly, co-curate screenings, and help shape Fabrica’s film offer, bringing fresh ideas and new energy to the programme.

Accessibility is at the heart of what we do. Over 75% of our screenings are subtitled, making films accessible to a wider audience and ensuring everyone can enjoy the immersive experience of cinema at Fabrica.

From intimate discoveries to community-driven celebrations of film, Fabrica offers more than screenings - it’s a space where stories are shared, ideas are sparked, and audiences of all ages can connect through the magic of cinema.
