Headlining the evening is Nina Yamada, making her Brighton debut. Born and raised in Kamakura, Japan and now based in London, Nina is a DJ and founder of Jazzy Sport London. Rooted in deep house, her sets move fluidly between Afrobeat, jazz, Latin, reggae and other groove-led genres, creating a soulful and immersive dancefloor experience.
She is joined by LILA, a London-based DJ, broadcaster and curator whose eclectic selections blend jazz and Latin influences with broken beat, soulful house, UK funky and percussive bass music.
Also on the line-up is Moova, a DJ and promoter known for energetic, groove-led sets and community-focused events.
Opening the night is Brighton-based DJ Bluegammon, whose high-energy selections set the tone for an evening on the dancefloor.
Alongside the music, 126 will transform Fabrica with immersive visuals throughout the space.
At the start of the evening, Meg from Trouser Project / The Upcycling Centre will host a two-hour screen-printing session. Bring along a T-shirt to print or purchase one on the night featuring a specially commissioned Trouser Project x 126 design.
Visitors can also contribute to the 126 drawing wall, alongside a dedicated star-drawing station. Drawings created during the event will be digitised and transformed into animations, which will later be projected at a location in Brighton. Ticket holders will receive details of how to view the final collaborative artwork.
A new zine created in collaboration with documentary filmmaker and zinemaker Lewis Isbell will also be available to purchase on the night.
126 creates events that bring together music, visual art and participation, transforming spaces into environments for connection, creativity and collective experience.
126 is supported by the Early Career Promoter Fund, managed by PRS Foundation and funded by Arts Council England through Supporting Grassroots Music funding from DCMS.
